In This War Of Mine, The Workshop is your location for building and assembling things. You begin with a Simple Workshop and can upgrade it to an Improved Workshop. Further upgrades are possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE: this information is based on the press release of This War Of Mine. It might be incomplete and could be changed in the official release.

Description

Enables the manufacture of more sophisticated items and appliances, allowing us more ways of getting food or meds and trading goods. We can upgrade it even further to make electrical improvements.

There is a bug where cancelling the upgrade process would remove the workshop completely.

Simple Heater	Allows us to heat the shelter, so that we don't get ill. We can prepare fuel for it using wood, books or various components.	1.0 hr	18 Components 6 Wood
Radio	It would be great to be able to listen to current news, and weather forecasts. We could be better prepared to deal with hardships if we knew about them in advance. When there's nothing on the news, we can listen to music to brighten up our mood. Edit: The radio has to be reset manually, to get the current news each day. Workshops

Crude Stove	It's as simple as they get: just burn some fuel made of wood, books or components, and use some water to cook a meal more nutritious than raw food.	1.0 hr	10 Components 5 Wood
Moonshine Still	With a bit of patience, some water and sugar we can make a foul tasting but strong alcohol. We could then barter it for things we need. Just don't expect too much	1.0 hr	14 Components 6 Wood 5 Parts
Metal Workshop	Allows us to make tools, such as shovels for clearing rubble, crowbars for breaking doors and knives for self-defense. Later we could use it to build more advanced tools or even repair firearms.	1.0 hr	10 Components 5 Wood
Rainwater Collector	A simple contraption collecting and filtering the rainwater necessary for cooking and making alcohol. It might be wise to build a couple of them. edit: For usage of the collector filters have to be created. It is one filter for four 'pieces' of water. During winter it is not working, as the water is frozen and cannot be filtered. Instead there is the possibility to collect ice in front of the building.
